Richard A. Schmidt has personally tried over 75 cases to verdict and supervised hundreds of attorneys in thousands of trials in his position as the Supervisor of the Valley Branch of the Los Angeles City Attorney’s Office.
Richard has been an active member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association, where he has served as the lead instructor for the Trial Advocacy Project since 1987. He received the Los Angeles County Bar Association’s “Special Recognition of Excellence Award” for his service as the lead instructor of the Trial Advocacy Project
Richard has served as a Trustee of and Legal Counsel to the SS United States Trust, a New York based non-profit corporation dedicated to the preservation and development of the SS United States.
Richard received a Juris Doctor from Loyola Law School and a Bachelor of Arts from California State University, Northridge.
